Presentation：
Governor Nobre de Carvalho Bridge is the first bridge linked Taipa with Macau peninsula. Its construction was started in June 1970, and opened to traffic in October 1974. Its length is 2,569.8 meters with a width of 9.2 meters. The triangular arch in middle of the bridge is 35 meters above sea level. It total has 46 bridge piers. The Friendship Bridge is a two arched bridge. Its construction was started in 1989, and opened to traffic in April 1994. It is the second of Macau-Taipa Bridge. The bridge has two triangular arcs in the middle, the top of which is 30 meters above sea level.
Its length is 4,500 meters, with a width of 19.3 meters. For celebration of the handover ceremony of Macau, Macau government decided to re-equip the Governor Nobre de Carvalho Bridge and the Friendship Bridge. As both Bridges cannot be seen clearly during night time, the light engineer installed uplight on all piers of both bridges. Before the day of 5th Anniversary of Handover Ceremony, 20,000m of cable has been laid for the 2 bridges. From that moment, the bridges became a magnificence night view under sky.
